Jan resides in Charlotte, NC with her husband and twin sons.

Her career began when she decided to paint a mural in her son's nursery. After many compliments and at the urging of friends, she took photographs of her work and met with the owner of a local children's store. The storeowner was thrilled with Jan's work and hired her as a contract employee painting murals.

Since that time, Jan started her own successful faux finishing business and continues to enhance her abilities by keeping abreast of the latest color trends and techniques.
