| Comment: | I had a very old amoire which was my grandparents. Although it did not have much monetary value, it had a tremendous amount of sentimental value. I turned to Jan to refinish it as I wanted to put it in our new twins' nursery. I had some general idea of what I wanted to do, however, I turned to Jan for thoughts and suggestions. The work she did completely blew away what I had envisioned. She took my ideas and created a piece which captures the things my grandparents loved. She did just an amazing job!!!!
I would highly recommend Jan for any faux finishing work. Be sure to tap into her creative mind as she has wonderful ideas and great judgement! I look forward to working with her on other projects!

After looking at some of Jan's work at "Home Arama" and her portfolio, we hired Jan Jones Faux Finishes to design and faux finish these rooms. With her talent and creativity she designed and faux finished our bedroom and dining room trey ceilings. What a difference the faux makes, it really completes and beautifies these rooms. | Comment: | Jan was active in faux painting before she enrolled in the Faux Academy - (formerly the International Academy of Decorative Arts, a division of Heidi von Weitzer Studios, Inc.).
Working through our foundation Wall Glazing class (which offers a wide array of faux finish styles and designs, some of which are exclusive designs of the Faux Academy), Jan displayed a great love and talent for her art. Her engaging personality only enhanced the atmosphere of the workshop, and her zest for life added a deep beauty to the art she produced.
Her precise renditions of the offered faux finishes, combined with her keen eye for color and sense of style, made her a joy to work with.
Jan's talent and winsome personality made her a natural choice to participate in a $75 million project, the renovation of the historical Sheraton Hotel in St. Louis, MO. Jan was a team partner in painting the Trompe L'oeil ceiling in the hotel lobby. As a result of this project, Jan received national coverage in one of the faux industry's top trade journals, as well as with television stations and several local St. Louis Newspapers. Needless to say, it was a pleasure having Jan with us.
In January, 2002 Jan completed the advanced Old World European texture class, and her outstanding portfolio boasted finishes such as the simulated plasters technique of the Tuscany, Provence relief work, as well as embedding techniques such as Florentine Plaster and French Country - Provence. We will continue to invite Jan to work with us on large projects, both locally and nationally.
I highly recommend Jan to any sophisticated client. I can promise you, it will be a joy to work with her.
